Happy first Wednesday of September! I had a great extra long Labor Day weekend filled with tons of good food and quality time with the bf, but I'm glad to be focusing on fitness again with the Workout Wednesday (WOW) linkup.
Today's theme is: "What's In Your Gym Bag?" Since I don't belong to a gym anymore, I don't have a standard packed gym bag. But I do have a rotating cast of different bags for different workouts. So today I'm sharing what's normally in my bag for post-work beach volleyball or yoga.

Beach Volleyball Bag
My beach volleyball bag is just a cheap nylon tote since it tends to get super sandy. It's mostly packed with the same things you would need for a normal day at the beach, plus some specialty sport items like sand socks and a volleyball.
- Water bottle
- Sand socks
- Sunglasses
- Tons of different sunscreens
- Deodorant
- Visor
- Towel
- Supportive bathing suit
- Flip flops
- Cover up clothes
- Volleyball
- Lots of sand :)
Post-Work Yoga Bag
I mostly use my favorite Gaiam Everything Fits Gym Bag for yoga, which is great because it has tons of space, a wet pocket to hold my sweaty towels post-yoga, and a built-in mat carrier. The contents of this bag are obviously pretty different than my beach volleyball bag, except for the deodorant. I have like 4 different sticks open at the same time and stashed in different places. Better safe than smelly :)
- Yoga Mat
- Flip flops
- Workout capris
- Low-support bra
- Tight tank
- Jacket
- Deodorant
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat towel
- Face towel
Now it's your turn! Open up that gym bag and show us what you've got! Oh and if you like to be extra prepared, you can find next week's theme here: http://femmefitalefitclub.com/workout-wednesdays-link-up/.

eek I always forget to throw in the deodorant haha!
ReplyDeleteHaha me too Lindsay, and I can really not afford to. Hence why I just gave up and have one that stays in every bag :)
DeleteOh a wet pocket. Never thought about it but that's pretty important. Hate getting sweaty stuff all mixed in with the good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Seriously nice to have!
DeleteMy gym bag currently has some carpris, a tank top, piloxing gloves, a towel, and a water bottle that I keep in a locker at work. I think I've got some wipes in there too!
ReplyDeleteOoh piloxing sounds so cool. Wipes are a great idea too!
DeleteDo you keep your spare bag in the car? I can see why you need rotating gym bags. #wowlinkup
ReplyDeleteI mostly keep both of them in the gym and sports equipment corner of my room. Not the nearest thing but very convenient :)
DeleteLove that you added "lots of sand"! #wowlinkup
ReplyDeleteHaha yep. Sand is also unfortunately all over my car, tub, and floor now, but I think it's worth it :)
DeleteI love my gym bag b/c I keep it stocked with everything I ever need. As long as it is with me I have what I need for a workout. :-) #wowlinkup
ReplyDeleteNice! Love that you are always ready for a workout! :)
DeleteSuch a fun post! Ahhh face towels, lovem... alot of times I resort to my shirt when I forget to pick one up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny! Yea I sweat so much that towel is key! Lol
