Workout Wednesday - Fast and Free At-Home Cardio Workouts

Hi all! Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. I've been super busy hitting the ground running at my new job and may be traveling internationally in THREE WEEKS! Ahh!

Since I've been putting in fairly long hours and don't have a comfortable night running route yet, fitting in cardio has been a little challenging. So, in honor of Workout Wednesday, I'm sharing a few of my favorite quick, free at-home cardio workout videos. 

Fitness Blender HIIT Like a Girl Round 2


This is a brutal HIIT routine that will keep your heart rate up pretty much the whole time. It takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and even includes warm up and cool down!

Denise Austin: Ultimate Fat Burn Workout

If you love the feel of a traditional group exercise class but don't have time to get to the gym for a session, this 20 minute video is a great quick alternative!





This workout is low impact but will still get your heart racing. And at 9 minutes, it's easy to squeeze in a super quick cardio session or repeat the circuit to create a longer workout based on the amount of time you have.

  1. I LOVE Fitness Blender's workouts! They have everything! I had never heard of Denise Austin or Jessica Smith- will definitely be trying those out- always on the lookout for good free workouts! Found you on WOW!

    1. Me too! Denise Austin has a lot of paid workout videos, but there are also a lot of free ones on the Lionsgate BeFit channel which is awesome. Definitely recommend checking out the whole channel!

  2. The Hard Core Abs workout from Rockin' Body is a great 10 minute workout if you just don't have time or don't feel so well but want to knock out a quick one.

  4. When I don't have much time I usually just run around my neighborhood. I get more mileage in in a shorter amount of time than I would using the TM!

  5. Much prefer HIT to traditional cardio. Less time committed, more results. That's my style. :)

  6. If it's nice out I will try to do a quick run. If not I might to a Jillian Michaels DVD (one of the shorter ones). Thanks for sharing these!

  7. I like the shorter Tabata workouts, I don't like when they are past 10 minutes. When I dislike and find the workout too hard and I'm not enjoying myself and usually don't repeat it that often. BTW, thanks for visiting WOW!

  8. Just received word I have to lay off cardio and anything dealing with lower body for 2 weeks as my left leg heals BUT I still plan to workout with my personal trainer. She is good and knows what to do to adjust my workouts. I am going to miss running and boot camp. Thanks for stopping by WOW!
